When it comes to the foods that you buy, you may not realize it, but they can have a negative impact on the earth. Even though most individuals have never considered that the food that they obtain can have this effect. Our planet can be harmed in more ways than one when you buy certain foods. Therefore we made our minds up to go over a number of the negative effects that can be produced by buying certain foods.
When the grocery stores want food, this food has to be delivered, and that usually means lots of trucks burning fuel to get it there, and it can also be trucked from different parts of the country. You should also realize that the fuel is not the only way we are polluting our planet. The actual farmers which are growing our food are using different chemicals on the food to help insure a good harvest. Chemical fertilizers aren’t the sole hazard because these farmers may also be using other chemical substances for the purpose of making sure the crops they are growing will be as big as possible. When the chemicals are sprayed on the plants you will find that these chemicals will not only end up polluting our air but also our soil. Even though some will argue that the foods can just be washed off, what about the chemical compounds that seep into the foods?
You may well already know this but these fertilizers aren’t the only unpleasant chemical that ends up in our foods, in our atmosphere and in the soil. Chemical pesticides or herbicides which are nothing more than a form of poison, will also be put on all of the foods. And the same as the other chemical compounds they will spray these toxic compounds on causing them to go into the atmosphere and soil. Certainly this poison which is meant to kill bugs is also on the actual food that individuals are going to eat.. But if you are taking the governments word for it, there’s nothing wrong with the food therefore it may be eaten. There’s a way to avoid all of this and that’s by only shopping for foods that are grown locally and foods which are also organic. But the worst part is that this is not the only way we are polluting our planet. Just about every single one of these farms that grow the food are using chemicals on the foods to help them get the best crop as they can. Some of the things that farmers use are various chemical fertilizers and also other types of chemicals that they use in order to get bigger crops. And when it comes to the application of these various chemicals you will find that traditionally they will be sprayed on the plants, causing the pollutants to end up not only in our soil but also in our air. The other thing you should consider is that no matter how much you wash these items, there will always be trace amounts of these chemicals in the food itself as it is brought up by the roots and absorbed the foods.
But it doesn’t end with the different types of chemical fertilizers as other chemicals are also sprayed on our foods. You will find that farmers will also use poison (chemical pesticides) to keep bugs from ruining their crops. And of course these pesticides will also be sprayed on, again, polluting our air and our soil. As we have just mentioned, gifts that give back is something that cannot be dismissed – or at least should never be ignored. No one really can effectively address all the different circumstances that could arise with this particular topic.
